Ramsey earned the 2025 Goodguys Goolsby Customs Next Generation Award for his remarkable transformation of a 1986 Chevy K20. He began the project at age 15, rescuing the rusted truck from under a pine tree and rebuilding it to drive during his senior year of high school. Later, he committed to a full frame-off restoration, turning the truck into a lifted, blacked-out masterpiece that reflects his dedication and craftsmanship.
The build features an 8-inch lift, Fox shocks, and massive Interco tires mounted on Real Racing wheels. Ramsey installed a 427ci big block with AFR heads, Holley carburetor, MSD ignition, and a TH400 transmission. He also tackled extensive bodywork himself, shaving the firewall, stake pockets, and tailgate handle, then finishing the truck in Nocturnal Black for a slick, glossy look. Inside, the truck sports a custom switch panel, reupholstered factory bench seat, and upgrades like a tilt column and power steps.
Be sure to check out his truck on display at the 28th Speedway Motors Southwest Nationals in Scottsdale, Arizona.
